Aaron founded Ashton Thomas Private Wealth with a vision for building a new kind of financial services company: a firm with a client-centric, values-based culture that serves successful advisors and their clients.

Under his leadership, Ashton Thomas has grown into an award-winning* registered investment adviser (RIA) firm with twelve offices in seven states. Aaron is passionate about seeing the firm’s CREDO—community, respect, excellence, discipline, opportunity—lived out through each of the services and solutions Ashton Thomas provides to advisors and their clients.

Prior to founding Ashton Thomas, Aaron was a financial advisor and portfolio manager for a multifamily office. He began his career as an oil trader for Tosco, now part of ConocoPhillips. Aaron is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where he played NCAA collegiate basketball for the Aggies.

He obtained the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), administered by Investments & Wealth Institute® and taught in conjunction with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Aaron is also co-founder of fintech platform, Amplify Technology, which provides RIA Operating System (ROS) solutions to wealth management firms like Ashton Thomas.

Aaron and Heidi Brodt and their two sons reside in Scottsdale, Arizona. He enjoys coaching his boys in basketball, spending time with family, and giving back to the communities served by Ashton Thomas.
