Market Pulse – March 2020
The equity markets started March with a mild reprieve from the late-month selloff in February, finishing the first week of the month nearly flat. However, during the first weekend of March, the dominoes started falling and almost broke the high-quality fixed income market. The one-two punch from coronavirus taking hold in the US and Saudi Arabia abandoning OPEC+ spooked the equity markets and triggered significant selling across the board.
