Joshua May
Josh grew up in western Colorado before receiving the prestigious Davis UWC Scholarship, after which he completed his secondary education at an international boarding school in Montezuma, New Mexico. While there, he represented the United States on the USA Debate Team in Croatia, Singapore, Slovenia, and the world championships in Germany.
Josh then attended the University of Denver before transferring to Cornell University’s Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in applied economics and management. At Cornell, he also founded Cayuga Capital, an undergraduate hedge fund managing its own endowment as an educational non-profit.
After serving as a Credit Analyst and Assistant Vice President with U.S. Bank, Josh joined the Confluence Private Wealth Team at Ashton Thomas as an Associate Wealth Advisor.
“I believe that helping guide clients through financial markets can be an extraordinarily rewarding way to earn a living,” he said. He finds opportunities to distill complex topics into concrete decisions to be particularly fulfilling. Josh resides in Grand Junction, Colorado, with his girlfriend and their Bernese mountain dog, Millie, where the three enjoy easy access to the nearby mountains. He spends his free time skiing, golfing, hiking, watching Formula One, coaching local debate students, and racing in a go-karting league."
