Steve Leland
Inspired by his father’s 50-year career with Northwestern Mutual, Steve has honed his financial planning skills across various roles, including 17 years as an Associated Wealth Management Advisor managing 500 high net-worth clients at TIAA. He has also held positions with two fintech startups and worked as a Centralized Wealth Planner at Union Bank.
“I truly enjoy working with financial advisors and clients,” he said. “I enjoy helping clients reach their financial goals and better understand their finances, helping financial advisors provide next-level planning for their clients, and continually learning about financial planning.”
Steve’s journey to wealth management began at Wartburg College and the University of Iowa, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
Since then, Steve has earned several designations, including his CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, and CAP® from the American College of Financial Services. In recent years, he completed his master’s in financial services from the American College.
Outside of the office, Steve enjoys running, hiking, and biking – participating in several marathons and Ironman Triathlons – with a goal to complete an ultramarathon one day. He also enjoys spending time with and traveling internationally with his wife, who he met while living in Colorado. Together, they have visited roughly 30 countries (and counting!).
