Anthony “Tony” Avalos is the Director of Risk Management and Finance for Ashton Thomas Private Wealth.

Tony joined Ashton Thomas in 2017, bringing prior experience as Financial Controller for Shurwest Financial and the Arizona Rattlers. Prior to that, he was in financial and sales management with two major healthcare companies, today known as CVS Caremark and Meritus Healthcare.  Earlier, Mr. Avalos was Regional Controller – Asia Pacific Region for The Dial Corporation and resided in Asia.  At the outset of his corporate finance career, he was a commercial banker with Wells Fargo.  He has also served as an Investment Advisor Representative and has held life, health and accident insurance licenses.

Mr. Avalos graduated with honors from Arizona State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Information Systems.  He also successfully completed a post-graduate management program in Product Development from Harvard University, and another post-graduate program focused on Marketing at Arizona State University.

Mr. Avalos is a native Arizonan who enjoys spending time with his two daughters who currently attend college.
