Andrew joined Ashton Thomas with the “Bozeman team” in late 2019 as a Client Service Associate supporting that office. Prior to that, he was a client service team member with Wells Fargo Advisors in Bozeman, Montana.
Andrew is a native of Sacramento, California, where his parents also grew up. His grandparents on his stepfather’s side lived in Billings, Montana, so Andrew spent summers there throughout his youth.
While in high school, Andrew met the woman he would eventually marry. However, after graduating, he moved to Spokane, Washington, to work and attend junior college for a few years. Upon returning to California, he began working in title operations for a real estate firm, soon thereafter also marrying Rebecca.
Following his stint in real estate support, Andrew moved into the banking world, taking on a role at Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union in the consumer loans division. While there, he began discussions with the president of the credit union’s investment division about becoming a licensed representative, but there were no immediate openings for him at the time. Consequently, when he was offered an opportunity to join Waddell & Reed’s training program, he did so and obtained his securities licenses. Following a brief stint with that firm, he rejoined Addison Avenue and was soon offered a position on the investment side of the house.
Andrew and Rebecca had a growing desire to move away from California. Due to his familiarity with the mountain west from his youth, he decided to put out feelers in that region. In early 2019, he was offered a position with Bratton DuBose in the Bozeman, Montana, office of Wells Fargo Advisors. “It took me about two seconds to make that decision,” he says of choosing to join Bratton’s team and relocate the family.
When Bratton chose to evaluate other firms a several months later, he introduced Andrew to the team at Ashton Thomas. “I was impressed with what I saw,” he says, “and we made the decision to switch firms soon after that.”
Andrew and Rebecca have been married since 2011. They have a son and a daughter and enjoy camping and hiking together as a family. In addition, Andrew enjoys hunting and fishing. “Montana just suits our lifestyle in every way,” he says. He is also a self-confessed “huge 49ers fan.”
