Christina is a Client Service Associate in the firm’s Helena, Montana, office. In this role, she provides support primarily to the wealth advisory practice of Managing Wealth Advisor, Scott Knutson.
Christina grew up in the Annapolis, Maryland, area in a U.S. Navy family. She worked as a floating teller while pursuing her Associate Degree, during which time she was introduced to the investment management side of the business. After obtaining her degree, she went to work in an operations role with Mercantile Funds, where she took and passed the FINRA Series 6, Series 7, and Series 24 exams. She worked at Mercantile for a decade and was then recruited by Capital Financial Group to focus on advisor development and transitions. She had been in that role for about four years when she was asked to go to west coast to help launch the firm’s operations center in California. During that time, Christina supported 350 financial advisors and managed a team of four operations staff. In 2013, she was recruited by Lincoln Financial to work directly with one of their top advisors in Irvine, California.
As her son was about to graduate high school, Christina began considering relocation options to remain close to him while in college. When he was accepted to Montana State University, she decided to relocate to Montana. Scott Knutson, who was with Wells Fargo at the time, was seeking a seasoned client service professional. She was interviewed for the role and accepted the offer work for his practice in Helena in 2017.
Christina anticipates her son will graduate from Montana State University in December 2021 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering as part of the engineering school’s Aerospace understudy program. “I’m very proud of him,” she says. “He’s pursuing his dream.” Christina lives with two dogs who are “basically her children now.” She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
