Doug is a Wealth Advisor with the Confluence Private Wealth Team. He began his career in financial services in 1983 and has been a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder since 1987. He enjoys providing investment management and legacy planning advice to his clients.

Doug started an investment advisory firm in 2005 and subsequently merged that practice with Avant-Garde Advisors in 2013. Avant-Garde was one of two companies that formed WealthSource Partners, where Doug spent a number of years, shortly thereafter. He began his career with Wells Fargo’s Private Asset Management group, where he was a Portfolio Manager. Doug also managed fixed-income portfolios for United Capital Management, a subsidiary of Norwest Bank of Minnesota.

Doug was a charter member of the Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club in Grand Junction. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Western Colorado Community Foundation, where he serves as Investment Committee Chair, among other responsibilities. In the past, Doug has sat on numerous other community and foundation boards throughout the Grand Valley. These include: the Colorado Mesa University Foundation (Past-President), the Museum of Western Colorado, the ministry of Go-El, the Long-Term Planning Committee for Caprock Academy, the Parent-Teacher League at Messiah Lutheran School, and the Palisade High School Community Advisory Council. Doug is married to Chris, who serves as a District 51 special education teacher and coordinator.
