Josie joined Ashton Thomas Private Wealth as a Client Service Associate in the firm’s Tucson office in 2021. She had previously worked briefly with the firm in a contract role assisting Managing Wealth Advisor, Brienne Dylewski, with the transition of her practice to Ashton Thomas.
Josie, a native of Tucson, grew up on the east side of town. Her father was also a Tucson native. After high school, she worked in various administrative roles, finally landing in human resources for a point-of-sale tech company which was eventually acquired. She followed her manager from that company to a recruiting firm, but soon decided the talent acquisition role was not her preference.
In 2007, a friend of a friend told her about a role at a wealth management office which was looking for an administrative assistant. Josie was quickly hired by Financial Architects to fill the role. One of the hiring principals was Brienne Dylewski and, although Brienne anticipated the role to be difficult to fill with someone long-term, the two ended up working together for the next eleven years.
After Brienne had successfully transitioned her practice to Ashton Thomas in 2018, Josie decided to take some time away from the practice to pursue other life goals. However, when an opportunity to rejoin the Tucson office of Ashton Thomas presented itself in 2021, Josie decided to step back into the wealth management space in the client service role at the firm.
“Wealth management is what I know and where my interests lie long term,” says Josie. “It took stepping away for a time for me to realize that. It’s great to be back!”
Josie enjoys cooking and working on home improvement projects with her husband. Between them, they have three adult children and three grandchildren whom they love spending time with.
