Karl leads the Schwinck Private Wealth Team and is Managing Wealth Advisor for the Cherry Creek (Denver) office of Ashton Thomas Private Wealth. The Schwinck Private Wealth Team has offices both in Cherry Creek and Colorado Springs.
Karl and his team follow a disciplined wealth planning process tailored to the needs of each client they serve. He has over 30 years of experience advising clients. Karl was previously with Wells Fargo Advisors, where he spent 23 years of his career and won multiple awards and recognition within the firm. In 2022, Karl was recognized as a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes1 and, for 2023, his team was recognized as a Best-in-State Team by Forbes.2

Karl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Southern Maine.
He has remained active in his local community throughout his career by volunteering with Care and Share of Southern Colorado, and the Denver Rescue Mission. He has also coached youth baseball and has served as a scout leader. In his personal time, Karl enjoys traveling, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, and hiking “Fourteeners” throughout Colorado with his family.
