Ryan Lovett is a Senior Wealth Advisor with 16 years of experience in the financial services industries. He began his professional development in the residential mortgage industry, where he discovered an affinity for helping families achieve their financial objectives. He went on to gain experience in the currency-trading markets, where he further developed his skills for learning about, and trading capital markets of all types.
Desiring to bring those two passions together naturally led him to the personal wealth management profession. He has spent the last eleven years playing an instrumental role in the growth and evolution of Ashton Thomas Private Wealth (ATPW), a rapidly growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Mr. Lovett applies a “holistic” approach to integrating each new client relationship with the firm, collaborating with them in developing, and executing on a unique, personalized blueprint for long-term accumulation, and the preservation of their wealth. His “goals-based” approach to identifying clients’ unique needs is used to develop detailed financial plans. He uses those plans to construct unique investment portfolios, each built to meet the client’s financial needs to, and through retirement. Mr. Lovett works in concert with subject matter experts in the firm, and of counsel to it, credentialed professionals in estate planning, insurance, taxation, Social Security and Medicare, to ensure each aspect of the plan is “optimized” to the fullest extent. In addition to his growing Private Wealth practice, he also conducts much of the research, analysis, and delivery of ongoing reporting for workplace retirement plans ATPW serves in a 3(38) Investment Fiduciary capacity. Mr. Lovett is also well versed in assessing non-traditional investment types, including real estate investing, private equity, hedge funds, and other complex instruments, providing him with an extensive assortment of tools at his disposal in the portfolio construction process.
Mr. Lovett also serves as a member of the firm’s Advisor Council, which meets on a quarterly basis to assist the firm’s management in steering the direction and allocation of its resources. The Council plays a key role in collaborating with the firm’s management in building and maintaining the most robust set of tools and support necessary for the firm’s advisors to have the substantive and long-lasting relationships with clients they enjoy. The Council also makes each of its members aware of, and accountable to, the maintenance of the industry’s “best practice” standards in all their efforts.
Having earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, both Mr. Lovett’s Private Wealth clients, as well as the 401(k) Plan Sponsors and Participants he serves, can rest assured that as a Fiduciary, their interests will always be his top priority. Mr. Lovett graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies concentrating in Economics and Business. When Mr. Lovett isn’t at the office, he will most likely be found somewhere outdoors. He and his wife, Kelli, enjoy camping, days on the lake, skiing and traveling to stadiums around the country to cheer on their beloved New England Patriots.
