Ryan Lovett is an investment professional with more than a decade of financial services experience. He began his career in the residential mortgage industry, discovering an affinity for helping families achieve their financial objectives. He went on to gain experience in the currency-trading markets, where he developed an affinity for learning about and trading capital markets of all types.
Desiring to bring those two passions together naturally led him to the personal wealth management industry. He has spent the last seven years playing an instrumental role in the growth and evolution of Ashton Thomas Private Wealth (ATPW).
Mr. Lovett takes the utmost pride in customizing a financial blueprint for each client he serves, leading to the construction of portfolios specifically designed to address their unique objectives. In addition to serving his personal clients, Mr. Lovett serves as an Analyst to the firm, assisting other ATPW advisors in the construction of customized portfolios for firm clients.
He is also a key member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Lovett often acts as a liaison between the institutional money managers we employ and the Committee, keeping the Committee abreast of relevant factors to consider in the ongoing evaluation of their performance. Mr. Lovett is particularly well versed in assessing non-traditional investment types, including real estate investing, private equity, hedge funds, and other complex instruments, providing him an extensive assortment of tools in the portfolio construction process.
In addition to these roles, Mr. Lovett’s responsibilities extend to qualified retirement plan clients of the firm. Specifically, with regard to ATPW’s 401(k) Plan clients, he oversees the quarterly application of the firm’s Selection and Retention protocols, the process used to select and monitor the performance of funds offered to 401(k) Plan Participants.
Having earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, both his Private Wealth clients, as well as 401(k) Plan Sponsors and Participants, can rest assured their interests will always be his top priority. Mr. Lovett graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies concentrating in Economics and Business. He continues to pursue his childhood passions of skiing and hockey. He and his wife, Kelli, call Scottsdale, Arizona, home.
