Wills is a Wealth Advisor with Ashton Thomas Private Wealth in Oro Valley (Tucson), Arizona. Previously, he led the Advisor Services team at Ashton Thomas providing coordinated support to the firm’s advisors for insurance, advanced planning, and related solutions.
Uniquely named after Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia where his father completed his ophthalmology residency, Wills grew up in Tucson and graduated from the University of Arizona’s McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the Eller College of Business. Prior to joining Ashton Thomas, he was engaged in a turnaround project at a regional property and casualty insurance firm where he helped streamline, digitize, and relaunch their marketing platform. Earlier in his career, Wills was part of a private equity fund in Scottsdale where he built out a business incubator that included ventures in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Oregon, and Texas. He also spent time in New York previously with a firm in the financial technology (fintech) space working on trading connectivity and reconciliation projects for global banking and exchange clients such as Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Bank of America, UBS, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
“I have always had a passion for people,” says Wills. “I believe in what Ashton Thomas is doing for wealth management clients, so when the opportunity to become a Wealth Advisor in my home city of Tucson presented itself, I jumped at it. Today, I have the privilege of working with successful people where I grew up and helping them manage their financial matters more effectively.”
Wills enjoys designing, building, and innovating solutions using various media and practical applications. Having traveled extensively throughout Australia, Central America, Europe, and elsewhere, he prefers backpacking, as it provides a closer connection to the surrounding locale. When he is not working or traveling, Wills enjoys sport fishing, skiing, working outdoors, and hanging out with his family’s French bulldogs.
