Caryn Young
“During my own career transition, I learned that in order to survive you have to lean on those that are there to help and keep an open mind during that process,” she says. “I’m very excited to be part of the transition team here at Ashton Thomas so I can help relieve the stress of those in similar situations.”
Caryn grew up in Casper, Wyoming, with her parents and siblings. After leaving for the University of Wyoming to attain her Bachelor of Arts in marketing with a minor in communications, she never imagined she’d return just five years later and even raise her three children there. The roots she planted in her Chi Omega sorority during college are still in place, as Caryn currently serves as the Chi Omega Recommendations Chair for Wyoming.
Outside of work, Caryn is active in the volleyball community as a certified high school volleyball referee, the co-founder and director of Oil City Volleyball Club (located in Casper), and a member of the State Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Volleyball Board. Caryn enjoys spending time with her family, which includes seven grandchildren, a miniature dachshund puppy named Willow, and a 13-year-old cocker spaniel named Abby. “I really enjoy working with people and the challenge of fixing a problem or making something seem less daunting for clients,” Caryn explains. “I take every opportunity to improve things around me, whether that be people, situations, or a specific task.”
