A Wyoming native, Gage Porter was born and raised in Casper and is proud to carry on his family’s legacy in financial services. His father, Mike Porter, and cousin, Shawn Porter, are both experienced financial advisors based in the Ashton Thomas Casper office, and their dedication to client care played a formative role in Gage’s own professional aspirations.

These aspirations carried Gage to the University of Wyoming, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. While there, Gage was an active member of the Ethics Club and the Honor Society, developing a strong foundation in principled leadership. During this time he also completed two internships with Ashton Thomas, gaining hands-on experience in client service, investment operations, and financial planning strategies.

Gage is currently pursuing his Series 65 and 7 licenses, with plans to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation thereafter. His long-term goal is to help individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity.

Outside of the office, Gage enjoys the outdoors year-round—fishing, hunting, and spending time on the lake with family and friends. His personal values of integrity, community, and a strong work ethic guide his commitment to helping clients live well and plan wisely.
