Goda Stevens
Goda joined Ashton Thomas in 2021 as a Wealth Advisor in the firm’s Casper, Wyoming office. Previously, she was with Wells Fargo Private Bank in Casper.
Born and raised in Lithuania, Goda moved to the United States in 2004. Originally settling in Portland, Oregon, she started her banking career in a retail role with US Bank. When she and her husband decided to relocate to Casper in 2009, she took a position with Wells Fargo. Over time, she worked her way from retail banking to the wealth management side of the business. She joined advisor Mike Porter’s team in 2011 as a Senior Client Associate and spent nine years working directly with high-net-worth clients in a growing Private Bank practice. With the aim of improving her skillset, Goda subsequently became an Operational Risk Consultant focused on addressing risk in client portfolios. Most recently, she was a Fee Underwriting and Oversight Support Consultant within the Fiduciary and Trust division before joining Ashton Thomas in 2021.
Goda is currently part of the Casper Private Wealth Team that includes Mike Porter and Kate Johnson. Together, they serve the distinctive needs of high-net-worth clients in central Wyoming and other locations throughout the country.
“I have always enjoyed working directly with clients,” Goda says, “but my time in compliance helped me gain more knowledge of why and how things are done behind the scenes in a wealth management practice. It really helped accelerate my growth as a financial professional and gave me a more well-rounded perspective on the advisory business.”
Goda and her husband, Josh, whom she met while he was traveling in Europe, have a son and a daughter and reside in Casper. “I really feel like I am part of the community now and I love it here,” she says. The family enjoys downhill skiing, biking, camping, and spending time in the outdoors together.
